Since the founding in 2011, SOPAT has established itself as a competent partner in the area of particle measurement technology and counts globally active companies among its customers. SOPAT specializes in the precise particle analysis within production processes. The basis is a picture analysis based photo-optical measurement technology that enables the quantitative characterization from particulate multi-phase systems.

Through innovation and passion we have made it possible to export worldwide. This success and the continually increasing growth since the founding of the firm are thanks to the competence and passion of its employees, management, and board.

The beginnings of SOPAT go back before the founding of SOPAT as a GmbH in 2011. Already in 1996, Dr. Sebastian Maaß developed the idea of the SOPAT particle measurement technology within his PhD. Since 2005 the SOPAT team has worked with the analysis and measurement of particles in multi-phase systems together with different industrial companies.
